Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

All welcome to find out how 'Compacts' are shaping Uni 

All interested staff members are welcome at a NTEU-hosted event designed to show how Compacts are shaping CQUniversity's future.

NTEU branch organiser Dan Coughlan says Compacts with the Federal government will set a new policy agenda, and targets will be negotiated to effect pervasive change.

"These changes will impact on staff.  So that you are informed, come and hear all about Compacts from Paul Kneist, coordinator of the NTEU National Policy and Research unit*."

This event will be held from Noon-1pm on Wednesday June 2 at Rockhampton Campus and videoconferenced to campus venues at Gladstone, Bundaberg and Mackay.
