Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Consulate guests welcomed at Sydney graduation 

A range of consultate representatives featured at CQUniversity's Sydney Town Hall graduation ceremony this week (Dec 14).

The VIP guests witnessed the ceremony catering for 294 graduates representing around 40 different nationalities, from almost all points of the globe.

Attendees heard a guest address by Dr Alison Owens, who is an Adjunct Associate Professor and Deputy Director of CQUniversity's Intercultural Education Research Centre (IERC).  BIO details of Dr Alison Owens

Vice-Chancellor Professor Scott Bowman and Chancellor Rennie Fritschy officiated and Master of Creative Enterprise (Arts Administration) graduate Arijit Banarji delivered the closing address on behalf of the graduates.
