A fruitful expedition for Brisbane students

Students from CQUniversity Brisbane Campus enjoyed a trip to Tropical Fruit World recently.

Tropical Fruit World is an eco-tourist destination growing the world's largest range of tropical and rare fruit, blended with a native reserve of rainforest trails, landscaped waterways and native animals.

Students had the opportunity to taste, smell and touch exotic fruits such as the chocolate pudding fruit, dragon fruit, chewing gum tree and lemon meringue fruit.

They climbed aboard a tractor train on the Plantation Safari for a guided tour of the farm, explored Treasure Island, had an adventure on the Miniature Rail around the Water Lilly Lagoon, enjoyed a Jungle River Cruise and hand fed the native and farm animals in the Fauna Park.

One of the highlights of the visit to Tropical Fruit World was to indulge the taste buds with exotic fruit ice creams and mouth-watering tropical treats of the orchards at the Rainforest Cafe.
