London outing good for CQU Press profile

CQU Press publisher/author Professor David Myers and Press authors Marie Mahood and Marion Houldsworth have provided readings for 'An Evening in the Australian Outback' in London.

PhotoID:1766 The trio presented their readings on Thursday, March 10, at Australia House in The Strand.

The 'Evening' was presented by the Menzies Centre for Australian Studies and King's College London.

The event resulted in a full house and was chaired by Dr Ian Henderson of the Sir Robert Menzies Centre at Kings College, University of London, with introductory scripts provided by Professor David Myers.

The ladies received Australian patriotic corsages of gold and green. Their readings provoked many questions from the audience. Afterwards they signed and sold their books to the English audience.
