Cancer cure supporters not Bundy pirates

The sight of bandanas around CQU Bundaberg was not thankfully three stranded pirates but rather a commitment by staff to support a worthy cause.
It was National Bandana Day and as can be seen from the photograph the Faculty of Informatics and Communication Associate Lecturer Donna Carpenter, STEPS Administration Assistant Therese O’Donnell and Informatics and Communication Associate Lecturer Miles Greber were keen to play a part in a cure for cancer.
“It is the least we can do to create awareness and show our support for the children who do have to loss their hair while undergoing treatment for cancers,” said Donna Carpenter.
“I think even if you don’t have a member of your own family suffer cancer I am sure that each and every one of the staff and students here at our campus knows some one whose life has been affected by cancer.
“The least we can do is spent one day doing what many kids have to do for longer periods of time and sometimes more than once.”
