Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

CQU rep joins students from around the globe 

CQU graduate Constance-May Moore was among 800 honour students from 250 universities across six countries who gathered in August for the Golden Key International Honour Society Leadership Conference in Atlanta, Georgia.

Ms Moore and other high-achieving junior and senior college students attended the annual International Conference which offered career and personal development workshops, community service opportunities, and leadership and diversity education.

Golden Key provides academic recognition to college juniors and seniors in the top 15 per cent of their class as well as leadership opportunities, community service, career networking and scholarships.
