The Faculty of Business and Informatics (FBI) hosted a Scholarships and Prizes ceremony in Rockhampton on Tuesday March 13 at The Quality Inn, Centrepoint.

Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Executive Dean Professor Gus Geursen presented the prizes to students who achieved the highest passing marks in a range of subjects including Economics, Accounting, Marketing, Information Technology, Human Resources, Law, Property Valuation and Business Analysis.

The event was a great opportunity to reward some of the extremely talented students studying at Central Queensland University. Prize donors across several industries generously donated prizes, with some presenting their prizes to the winners at the ceremony.

In addition to the prize winners, Professor Geursen also presented certificates to the 2007 scholarship winners.

The scholarships were granted to high achieving undergraduate students commencing study in 2007 as well as to some 2nd year students who had achieved excellent results in their first year of study.

The Faculty of Business and Informatics gave in excess of $50,000 in scholarships to encourage talented students to enrol in Business and Informatics programs at Central Queensland University.
