Performance portfolio sent to AUQA
Published on 20 July, 2005
The CQU Performance Portfolio was submitted earlier this week to the panel of auditors from the Australian Universities Quality Agency (AUQA) who will audit CQU operations later this year.
The Performance Portfolio is a document which each University is required to submit to AUQA prior to their audit.
It outlines the University’s objectives, plans, strategies, activities, measures and results. It also includes some analysis and evaluation of activities and identifies processes which may be particularly efficient or deficient and improvements and future challenges.
The Portfolio forms the basis for the audit visit, where its validity is checked and verified by the panel through face-to-face interviews with stakeholders or requesting further written evidence or documentation where necessary. Once the panel has read and discussed the Performance Portfolio they will notify CQU of the required interviewees.
CQU's Portfolio was prepared with very considerable assistance from staff from throughout the University. It also incorporated information from the reports of the Self Review, Trial Audit and other organisational reports, such as the Phillips Curran Report, the Annual Report and the VC's reports to Council.
Sincere thanks are expressed to all of those who contributed, either by providing data or supporting the writing process.
In order to ensure the best possible preparations for the AUQA audit, a series of information sessions, facilitated meetings and workshops will be conducted. Notifications will be forwarded advising details in the near future.
