Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

All welcome to Emerald Campus Open Day

All interested people are welcome to CQU's Emerald Campus Open Day, due to be held from 10am-4pm on Saturday June 21.

All visitors can be in the running to win a digital camera, just by putting an entry form in the box outside the library.

There will be information about Emerald's preparatory programs, as well as the degree programs in the areas of Business and Education.

And visitors will be able to see the facilities and resources available. Details are available via: 4982 0456

There will be organised tours of campus facilities at 11.30am, 1pm and 3pm and a free sausage sizzle from Noon-1pm.

There will also be entertainment at 11.30am (Emerald Gymnastics); 12.30pm (Emerald Dance Centre) and 2pm (singer Christian Tryhorn).
