Central Queensland University is this week starting to undertake maintenance work and a stonework audit on the fagade of the Old Post Office in East Street.
This is preliminary work, costing around $1 million, ahead of a decision on the timing of large-scale renovations to the heritage-listed building.
CQU Vice-Chancellor Professor John Rickard has recently pledged the University's ongoing commitment to renovation of the building and said it was actively reviewing budget and funding options.
