Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Conservatorium presents Ali Wood event 

The Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music will present a concert event dubbed 'All Famous Stuff', featuring international pianist Ali Wood and the Rockhampton Concert Orchestra.

PhotoID:17 CQCM staff member Dimitri Kopanakis (vocals) will also perform on the night.

Ali Wood will perform the famous piano concertos of Grieg, Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninov, as well as Mozart's 'Elvira Madigan' and Gershwin's 'Rhapsody in Blue' .

'All Famous Stuff' will be at Rockhampton's Pilbeam Theatre on Saturday, April 13, with bookings open now via 07 4927 4111. Adults are $18 and Concession is $10.

Internationally acclaimed as an artistic and creative virtuoso, Ali was born in Brisbane, and is just 21 years old.
