Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Hong Kong visitor keen to expand relationship 

Hong Kong College of Technology representative Erica Lau visited CQU Rockhampton recently to explore opportunities to expand the relationship between the two organisations, which has existed since 1996.

PhotoID:1596 Ms Lau said her visit was arranged to review the current offerings of business and IT degrees and to plan for future offerings.

"It's all about renewing and matching with emerging demands from students," she said.

"There are opportunities in the areas of health and the knowledge economy.".
