It's going to be an afternoon that's hard to ‘Beet'!  A Banquet of Beethoven will take place on Sunday July 29 at the CQCM Theatre from 3pm, to celebrate the work and life of Ludwig van Beethoven.

The evening is a joint project of Film and Arts Mackay and Friends of the Conservatorium.

International acclaimed pianist, Mark Gasser, accompanied by Judith Brown, will bring to life Beethoven's 5th Piano Concerto, The Emperor.  The screening of the new hit film Copying Beethoven will follow the performance before guests are treated to a light meal of bratwurst, mash, sauerkraut and chocolate Bavarian dessert.

The funds raised will go towards library and music resources for students at CQU and is sure to be as popular as last year's ‘Glenn Miller Feast' so early bookings are advisable.

Tickets for the show and supper are $15 adult, $12 concession/child and $10 for Friends of the Con.

Bar facilities will be open from 2pm onwards for pre-show refreshments.

Book your tickets on 4940 7800, office hours, Monday to Friday.
