"It's a good environment with equity and diversity," he says.
Hossein came to Rockhampton with his family a few years ago when his father Manouchehr started a PhD in agriculture at CQUniversity.
By that time the younger Torabi had completed one year of IT studies at Sheikh-Bahaei University in his home city of Isfahan - Iran's third largest city.
He will be amongst 26 international students from 13 different countries attending a 'Going Home' Celebration at Rockhampton Campus on the evening of June 11.
In Hossein's case, he hopes to stay on in Rockhampton as he has started work with major construction firm J.M. Kelly and is enjoying the role.
