Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

'Secrets' selected as Song Awards winner 

'Secrets' by Rockhampton band The Short Fall has been unanimously selected as the winner of the ROCKon song awards from a total of 62 songs.

The Short Fall will perform at the Pilbeam Theatre this Friday night as a support act to the acclaimed band GANGgajang renowned for their song 'Sounds of Then (this is Australia)'.

In addition, 'Secrets' will be professionally produced and recorded, and the band will be assisted by Q Music's "starter pack" and digital distribution by Musicadium.
