Sydney's competitive spirit

It was dubbed the 'Posties' versus 'Undies' match when staff from CQU Sydney’s postgraduate campus took on the undergraduate campus in their first 'friendly' soccer match.
Staff members came together last Wednesday at the Domain sporting fields in the city to let off a bit of after-work steam.
Both teams were extremely competitive throughout the game, with plenty of great play and support from an eager cheer squad from the sidelines.
Magdalena Kowalczyk from the Posties team deserves a special mention for her fancy footwork.
Also impressive for the Undies team was Toby Kutcha with his massive goal saves.
However it was the star of the afternoon, Dheeraj Singh from postgraduate team, who showcased some great soccer skills to kick 2 goals in the first half.
With their reputation on the line, the undergraduate team fought hard in the second half but another goal by superstar Dheeraj Singh in the second half sealed an impressive win to the victorious postgraduate campus 3 – 0.
The match finished up when the sun disappeared and the winning trophy was presented to a jubilant postgraduate campus. Both teams then put aside their rivalry to share drinks and nibbles in the park.
Members from the undergraduate campus team have been heard saying that they can’t wait to even up the score. Both teams are looking forward to future friendly sporting matches.
