Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Anger Management Workshop for Women

Rockhampton Women’s Health Centre and Relationships Australia will host the one-day Anger Management Workshop for Women this month.

Norma Hutton from Relationships Australia and Faff Chandler from the Rockhampton Women’s Health Centre will present informative and interesting sessions exploring ways in which women can safely manage and express anger.

The workshop will be held on Wednesday, April 24 from 9am to 3.30pm at Relationships Australia, 114 Fitzroy Street, in Rockhampton.

Cost is $5, which includes lunch.
