Central Queensland University is encouraging Australian South Sea Islander tertiary students to apply for a scholarship to help further their education.
The Queensland Government, in conjunction with Central Queensland University, is offering tertiary education scholarships through the Australian South Sea Islander Community Foundation.
CQU’s Finance & Prizes Officer Margaret Hood said the scholarships are available to both full-time and part-time students to help ease the financial burden that comes with tertiary study.
Scholarships provide $5000 per year for full-time students and $2500 per year for part-timers for the duration of their undergraduate program.
Applications close on Friday 30 January 2004. Scholarship guidelines and application forms are available by phoning Margaret on 4930 9350.
