Emerald hosts library network members
Published on 26 November, 2007
Members of the Central Highlands Library Network met recently at CQU Emerald's Library for their final meeting of the year.
The teacher librarians, librarians and library aides from high schools, primary schools, distance education, the Australian Agricultural College, Shire libraries and the University Campus meet 4 times per year to network for resource sharing, professional development, information literacy initiatives and technology updates.
This Central Highlands organisation has been operating for many years and continues to provide a strong support network for large and small organisations in the area.
Between meeting times, the members keep in touch via an email discussions list set up through Education Queensland.
Emerald Campus Library was pleased to be the host for this last meeting of the year and looks forward to being part of the network next year.
To promote the University to the wider community, Gai Sypher (Campus Coordinator) and Maria Parlato (Arts, Humanities and Education) spoke to the members of the group about campus facilities and the courses on offer through the University.
