World of Opportunity for Bobby-Lee

We know that business students need to have as much information as possible before deciding on a career path. Twenty year-old CQU Rockhampton student, Bobby Lee Kennedy, is now well on her way to making the right career moves after flying to Brisbane recently to attend the State's premier career and networking event, the World of Opportunity 2002.

PhotoID:282 Hosted by CPA Australia, the nation's leading body of over 95 000 accounting, finance and business professionals, the World of Opportunity attracted over 250 students, associates and CPAs. Guests at the expo had the chance to meet accounting and finance professionals working throughout industry and commerce, public practice, public sector, IT, small business and forensic accounting. Expert CPAs offered their valuable tips on how to reach career destinations. Bobby-Lee submitted a winning essay on why she chose to study accounting and information systems - an essay that became her ticket to the future. Bobby-Lee won a return flight to Brisbane, overnight stay at the Hilton and ticket to the event. "Thank you for supporting regional uni students through competitions like this," she said. "I have learnt so much through the World of Opportunity and taken a giant step forward in my university career."
