Rocky Campus to host junior football, hundreds expected on weekends

CQUniversity Rockhampton will host junior football (soccer) fixtures which will potentially attract hundreds of extra members of the public to the campus each weekend...

Our sports centre manager Jordan Hougan has arranged for our sports fields to be adapted to cater for the winter competition, following a relationship forged with the senior Cougars team which has used the campus as its own training base.

In a break in tradition, some junior football will move away from Norbridge Park, which suffered major damage during recent floods. Competition organisers are concerned that repairs to Norbridge may not be ready in time to host all games.

Ms Hougan says that all the non-competitive games involving the younger players will be hosted on Rockhampton Campus, meaning that hundreds of players and parents are likely to be present.
