Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Dance supports koala research 

Come and enjoy bush music and dancing at the Cuddly Koala Bushdance this Saturday at Bauhinia House in Berserker Street, North Rockhampton, from 7.30pm.

The evening will be coordinated by the CQ Koala Volunteers, supported by the Koala Research Centre of Central Queensland.

Prices are: adults, $9, Family, $20, Concession, $7. The Currawong Bushband will provide the music, while a bush supper will also be provided.
