Welcome to the new-look UniNews, designed as a segmented news service, rather than just a list of stories.

The site has been implemented by the Division of University Relations with help from staff members at the Division of Teaching and Learning Services.

But you're still at the heart of UniNews. We still welcome submissions of stories (even dot-points are fine) and photos (high resolution preferred), as well as tips for forthcoming events (those events conducted or sponsored by CQU). There's even an option for reader profiles or commentary (blogs) about subjects of relevance.

Our first front page

You'll notice you can now enter events and classifieds direct, if you are a staff member. When loading classifieds be aware that low resolution photos are required in this area to avoid overloading the system.

UniNews remains a showcase for CQU, and we have a growing number of community members subscribed.

If you know of anyone in the community who may like to receive our weekly highlights package, then you can refer them to our Subscribe button on the home page.

UniNews is also an important staging point for submissions to the external media, and many media organisations now turn to UniNews for story ideas.

You can also link directly to individual stories on UniNews, if you want to create links from your own websites.

This is a big leap forward, and we are still working out bugs in the system, but feedback is welcome in the meantime.
