Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Academics wrestle with business issues in tag-team format 

Academics are 'wrestling' with small business issues in a tag-team format alongside leading business people.

Six academics from CQU's Faculty of Business & Law have been or will be involved in a series of seminars for small business owners promoted by Rockhampton Regional Development.

Next week (November 19), Dr Harvey Griggs will team with MGES employment services general manager Jacqueline Nagle (pictured) to discuss strategic human resources.

On November 26, Dr Phil Bretherton will join The Coffee House managing director Grant Cassidy for a talk on entrpreneurship.
