Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Schools encouraged to join 'biz wiz quiz' 

Rockhampton region schools are once again being encouraged to compete in 'The Business Challenge', featuring a competition for business-orientated Year 12 students.

The competition will suit students with skills in a range of areas including; accounting, business information technology; legal studies, general business studies and general knowledge.

The students will compete in 8 rounds of questions for a variety of great prizes.

The Business Challenge 2009 will be held from 6.30pm-9.30pm (including supper) on Wednesday May 27, at CQUniversity Rockhampton.

All are welcome to attend to support their favourite school.
