Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Rocky Campus prepares for Mini-Olympics 

CQUniversity Rockhampton Campus staff and students prepared for the annual Mini Olympics with a parade of flags and torch lighting ceremony on Friday.

UniNews' Peter Lawrence was on hand to capture the action which included a performance by Thai students visiting our English Language Centre as part of a Universal Cultural Exchange program.

The Mini Olympics will feature a range of sports throughout Sunday April 10.
