These works, in addition to music performances in Jazz and Pop styles, will be presented at CQU Rockhampton's Bencke Studio (Building 4) and Creative Arts Lecture Theatre (Building 5/G.02) from 7.30pm on Friday, May 23. They are collectively promoted as Studio Sessions ‘08.

This presentation is a unique performance and will feature the 20-minute premiere dance work, Forces and Safety Factors, choreographed by well known Expressions Dance Company performer, Zaimon Vilmanis.

Alongside this work, Advanced Level student film work in dance will be showcased. Also, vocal work featuring popular Jazz and Blues songs will be presented by Level One and Advanced Level music students.

This public presentation is an exciting opportunity for these students as it not only represents the culmination of 12 weeks of work but also showcases works prepared and created especially for this company of performers by leading performing arts industry professionals.

These students have worked within intensive workshop situations giving them the opportunity of being involved in the creation of this exciting dance piece incorporating a new dance style, JumpStyle, incorporated with contemporary choreography.
