Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Campus bands hit out at Fair

Campus bands entered in a national competition will have the chance for extra exposure during the CQ Multicultural Fair and CQU Rockhampton Open Day, on Sunday August 14.

Visitors to the Fair and Open Day will have the chance to witness the best local rock talent performing orginal music.

Heats of the 2005 Jim Beam National Campus Band Competition are being held at CQU Rockhampton's Birdcage Bar on July 29, August 5, August 12 and August 19.
