Gladstone Campus on the right track for the future

It was a who's who of Gladstone when representatives from local industry, community and education sectors met at CQU Gladstone for a community consultation on the future strategic positioning of the campus.

Around 40 people attended the session held at CQU Gladstone last month to discuss the future direction of the campus and its relationship with the local region.

Head of Campus, Dr Pierre Viljoen was pleased with the outcomes of the discussion.

"Attendees agreed that CQU needs to represent the soul of Gladstone," said Dr Viljoen.

"The discussion showed we are on the right track.

"Gladstone campus is unique in various ways ... and we have to find ways of serving industry and community needs by exploiting our strategic advantage of being locally based."

This initial discussion was only the start of the planning process, and will be followed by further planning sessions scheduled for later in the year.
