CQU focus for charity knitting efforts

A number of CQU staff members, family and friends have been knitting squares to make into blankets for the Salvation Army project 'Knitting for the Homeless'.

PhotoID:3536 Participants supply the wool, knit and sew the squares.

Nine blankets have been completed so far this year and 14 were donated last year.

Another 3 have been sent to the Solomon Islands, courtesy of CQU Mackay’s Viv Thurgar, whose husband was stationed there.

Staff at USQ accepted a CQU challenge late last year and this year completed their 9 blankets by the end of June. (Word has it that the colder weather in Toowoomba is more conducive to knitting).

Staff interested in helping should contact Robyn Bailey on extension 6370 or Mary Pitcher on extension 9843.
