Melbourne students show their basketball skills

Following recent sporting activities catering for table tennis lovers, badminton enthusiasts, and cricket lovers, CQUniversity Melbourne held its first basketball day at Balwyn Sports and Leisure centre.

For two hours students shot hoops with differing levels of success, beginning with a full court game involving all students in attendance.  After an hour of full court, the boys were beginning to tire and so one end became a half court tournament of sorts where the team first to ten took on the next challenger, no group able to win two games in a row...  PhotoID:7949, On the court in Melbourne

Two passionate basketball players attended, Kaijun Gao who plays regularly with his friends at different courts around Melbourne but was glad to have a day where he could meet other students from his University who love basketball,  and Vikramjit Singh, who has not had much opportunity to play basketball over the last three years due to his study and work commitments.

‘Vik' will be known to participants in the recent Chancellors Cup held on the Gold Coast for his demonic pace bowling.

The next sporting event will be a soccer day, another fun event which will also help to bring more students together to share their experiences of CQUniversity, Melbourne and Australia.
