Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Recipe for successful Relay fundraiser 

The 'Chefs R US' Relay for Life team has successfully launched their morning tea recipe book - at where else but a morning tea!

A total of $235 was raised at recent Friday morning event, with many of the CQUniversity staff again cooking up a storm and showcasing their fine creations for all to enjoy. The team is proudly supported by the University Services Division and copies of the $15 book were selling like hotcakes.

Marie Foreman spoke of her support from Cancer Council Queensland during her battle with cancer and then officially launched the book, while Professor Scott Bowman thanked the many teams from the University taking part in this year's Relay.
