Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Visit Japan with CQU 

If you have always wanted to visit Japan, there is no better time than now. And there are no better people to go with than your friends at CQU.

PhotoID:569 Central Queensland University’s Language Centre is coordinating a tour of Japan for interested members of the University community.

The touring group will leave Brisbane on 12 April and will fly back from Tokyo on 26 April. There is a flexible itinerary, which allows for inclusion in group activities or the chance to do your own thing. Suggestions include visits to temples, museums, the Tokyo Tower, Emporer’s Palace/gardens, as well as river trips, shopping and special dinners.

An all inclusive package will cost about $5000. Group rates for numbers more than 10 will be $1145 (flights only) otherwise it will be $1641. A $100 deposit is payable immediately on booking.
