200 high school students attend physics event in Rocky

About 200 year 11 and 12 students attended a physics lecture at Central Queensland University Rockhampton as part of the 2006 Australian Institute of Physics (AIP) Queensland Youth Lecture Tour on Wednesday, August 9.
The lecture, presented by Dr Wayne Rowlands from Swinburne University, was on the topic “cooling atoms and molecules to uncover the wacky world of quantum physics”.
Dr Rowland is an energetic and charismatic physicist with a world class reputation in the field.
