Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Corporate tax expert addresses Sydney graduates

Graduates from this week's CQU Sydney International Campus ceremony heard a guest address by corporate tax expert Kelvin Fitzalan (pictured).

PhotoID:2869 Mr Fitzalan has over 18 years of professional experience as a Partner in the Corporate Tax Group at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu.

The graduation ceremony was held today (Thursday, May 11) at the Sydney Town Hall.

A total of 370 graduates from 35 different countries attended.

Entertainment was provided by vocalist Dimitri Kopanakis, a former Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music lecturer, and an ensemble called the String Angels.
