Mackay students get set for Uni

Around 400 new students at CQU Mackay campus will kick off their year of study with the “Gone Troppo” Orientation program.
The four-day program highlights include assignment writing, referencing, study for success and online computer sessions. There will also be fun-filled activities such as a live band, Pub Trivia Challenge, Warm-up party, and a wind down at Airlie Beach to finish.
“The program is designed to introduce new students to university and prepare them for studying in a great learning environment.
“Student mentors will guide new students to a smooth transition into university life,” Campus Support Officer Jocelyn Wood said.
