Secondary school students from across Queensland will take part in the Sunwater and Stanwell Winter Music School next month.
As a sponsor of this event, CQUniversity is proud to be able to offer secondary school students the opportunity to take part in this program that has become a highlight of the music calendar.

"Our University is proud to be a community partner, enhancing music education and providing opportunities like this for students from across Queensland to learn, grow and be inspired," Vice-Chancellor Professor John Rickard said.

Secondary music students from all over Queensland and beyond will meet in Rockhampton to take part in this intensive and inspiring week of learning and performing.

Students are supported by an instrumental and vocal faculty that features some of the finest musicians and teachers in Australia, many of whom hold key positions in tertiary institutions across the country. These tutors provide an unparalleled opportunity for students to survey the possibilities of their musical journey.

During the school, students will have the opportunity to be involved in a full symphony orchestra, symphonic band, massed choir, stage band, chamber music groups, and brass, string and percussion ensembles.

They will also participate in workshops for all instruments, voice, keyboard, guitar and composition.
