Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Paul Tabone 

Paul Tabone is a strong and established vocalist trained* by Kim Kirkman, and internationally acclaimed opera sensation Garrick Jones.

Paul is an emerging artist for Opera Queensland. Not only has he had experience in music theatre and opera, he has also had 2 years' involvement in a funk/soul show band called 'd'Phunktion'.

Paul has sung with such artists as Rhonda Burchmore, Mercury Five, Kate Cebrano, Guy Sebastian, Marina Prior, Silvie Padano, James Morrison and David Campbell, just to name a few.

He is also involved with Vavachi Entertainment as 'Pavarotti' for the 'Pavarotti Viva' Tribute Show.

*Paul has graduated from the Music Theatre program of the Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music, based at CQUniversity Mackay.
