At each graduation ceremony held at a Central Queensland University Australian International Campus, Campus Director’s Leadership Awards are presented to students who have demonstrated a combination of outstanding qualities.
Successful students demonstrate: a strong commitment to their studies; the ability to respond to challenge; a capacity to act as mentors to other students; a willingness to contribute to the life of the campus; outstanding potential for significant leadership in their future careers; clear commitment to the value of cultural diversity; and creative talent and enterprise.
At the Brisbane/Gold Coast International Campus Graduation Ceremony held last month, Regional Director of CQU Brisbane and Gold Coast International Campuses Peter Mendham chose Norway’s Preben Klausen as one of the recipients.
Preben graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration. Preben was an outstanding student whose command of six languages was a valuable asset to the CQU International family during his stay in Brisbane.
As Vice-President of Kiwanis International he assisted with forward planning of activities to raise funds for the Hear & Say Centre on the Gold Coast.
Preben said that he “praised CQU for its Multicultural environment, and thanked the staff of Brisbane Campus for their inspiring and professional conduct”.
Preben has returned to Oslo take up a consulting role in Information Technology which promotes Real Estate. As a Consultant his role is to create and maintain valuable relations with property owners over the Internet.
In the Photo Preben can be seen showing his Plaque to work colleagues at home in Oslo, Norway.
