Year 12 students from eight schools from the Rockhampton region competed in this year’s Central Queensland University Business Challenge this week.
Heights College took out first place, while Rockhampton Girls' Grammar School received an encouragement award.
Hosted by CQU’s Faculty of Business & Law, the Business Challenge aimed at fostering communication with regional high schools.
The teams of three completed for valuable prizes and an enrolment package for winners who go on to study with the CQU faculty.
The teams endured several “against the buzzer” rounds touching on general knowledge and business questions.
The competing teams were chosen for their knowledge and skills in general knowledge, general business, accounting, legal studies, computers, business communication and technology.
This year's sponsors are: Ipex, CQU Bookshop, Pearson Educuation Australia, irock ISP Solutions, JMKelly and CPA.
