Student mentors and students gather for morning tea

CQUniversity's Rockhampton Campus student mentors and first-year students gathered recently for a morning tea on campus.

The morning was a success and the atmosphere very relaxed and friendly as new first-year students and mentors shared some food and spoke about their Term One experiences so far.

The morning tea was also a great opportunity for mentees to catch up with their mentors after Term One Orientation, to meet other students and access support.

Student mentors help out at Orientation and stay in touch with their mentees for the duration of the academic year, sending friendly reminders and tips. They also share experiences and answer questions that only a more experienced student can.
