Free workshop on 'reliability' hosted by Gladstone Campus

CQUniversity Gladstone is hosting a free Reliability Impact on Financial Performance workshop, provided by the ReliaSoft Corporation this month.

The workshop from 8.30am-4pm on Wednesday, November 17, will explain the concept of reliability and RAM (Reliability, Availability and Maintainability) analysis in organisations. Details are available via g.chattopadhyay@cqu.edu.au or m.leinster@cqu.edu.au .

It has been organised by the CQUniversity, the Society of Reliability Engineers and the Australian Society of Operations Research.

Workshop proponent Professor Gopinath Chattopadhyay said the event at the Leo Zussino Building would share analysis methods for repairable and non-repairable systems, spares optimisation and cost considerations for overhaul.

"In the process environment, minimising downtime is crucial to an organisations' performance and profits. Effective planning for preventive maintenance and spares availability are all critical to optimise performance," Professor Chattopadhyay said.
