Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Golden Key chapter marks 5 years 

CQU’s own Golden Key chapter recently celebrated 5 years of club membership to the world’s largest alumni organisation, spanning 7 countries with over 350 chapters.

On Saturday, October 28, CQU’s chapter invited honorary members and special guests to attend a New Member Ceremony held at CQU Rockhampton.

Distinguished guests included CQU’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Angela Delves, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic Services) Professor Alex Radloff, and Linda Haddad, Golden Key Program Executive, Asia-Pacific.

Students made the effort to travel from as far as the Gold Coast and Sydney campuses. CQU's chapter awarded 4 scholarships on the night.
