Students asked to help improve IT services

CQU's University Web Manager Bill Gonch and Acting Director of ITD John Voss are currently conducting an electronic survey of all students.

Launched yesterday the survey will run for 2 weeks. It is being run as part of a project under the leadership of Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Alex Radloff to focus on improving student facing systems.

To thank students for their time participating, each student who completes the survey will be entered into a draw to win one of several iPods. The survey coordinates with fact finding that was recently done among Academic Staff members via focus groups.

To date, there have been over 100 responses.

Commenting on a quick review of the initial response, Bill stated: “It is certainly early days, but if the current trends hold, there appears to be a sharp divide between academic staff and students about the provision of online systems”.

The survey can be accessed most easily via the student portal (http://mycqu.edu.au ). Student confidentiality is maintained.

We hope all students will participate and wish them the best of luck for the iPods.
