Q) What is CQUni Cares

A) CQUni Cares is a fund to help CQUniversity students in need. The fund aims to assist students who find themselves in financial hardship, by providing the emergency funds that will allow them to continue their studies without the additional financial stress.

Q)   What makes this fund different to other scholarships and prizes available currently to students?

A)  The fund is different because it will allow the student support centre to be responsive to the needs of our students by helping them in real time, and in alignment to their individual circumstances and need. It will not be means tested, and students will not have to endure a lengthy application process and timeframes.

Q) How many students will benefit from the fund?

A) An estimated total fund of $2700 will available to students in 2011. This will be allocated to students by the student support centre, purely on the basis of need. Continued support of CQUni Cares will see the capital grow and we anticipate even more students will benefit in future years.

Q) Why is the fund called CQUni Cares

A) Because the fund is another example of CQUniversity showing that it cares for its students
