CQUni helps organise Careers and Tertiary Expo in Gladstone

CQUniversity's Careers Information Centre* in Gladstone has worked alongside the Schools and Industry Network and The Gladstone Observer to host this year's Careers and Tertiary Expo on Monday, August 1, at the Gladstone PCYC, Yarroon St.

All students, parents and community members are invited to attend this year's event, and entry is free. The Expo will be running from 9am to 3pm, with entry via the rear entrance of the PCYC, near the basketball courts.

With over 35 different exhibitors participating, including major universities, training organisations and employer groups, as well as the defence forces, emergency services, employment and career support groups and agencies, there will be a vast array of opportunities to discover.

The Expo is also a good opportunity for parents to come along and find out what different opportunities are now available. Many parents may be surprised how much things have changed and how many more opportunities are available to their children who are just starting their career journeys.

* The Careers Information Centre is located in the lower level of the Martin Hanson Building, CQUniversity, Gladstone campus (just over the Auckland Creek Bridge, right next to the Gladstone Marina). The centre is open to everyone in the Gladstone community, Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm. For more information contact Richard Ward on (07) 4970 7281.
