Published on 24 October, 2003
Recent CQU graduate Junko Higa is now a specialist IT consultant with IBM Global Services Australia, based in Sydney.
Her Japanese language skills and fluent English - coupled with her information technology skills - were major contributors to her success in obtaining this position. Before taking on this position, Junko worked on the help desk at CQU's Sydney International Campus and worked with ExecuTrain as a customer service adviser/interpreter for Japanese clients.
She graduated from CQU with a Master of Information Systems degree earlier this year.
Junko has recognised the Sydney Campus STEP (Student Training and Employment Team) service for helping with her resume, applications and interviews and for placing her in in both the ExecuTrain and IBM positions.
