Campuses host Heart Week presentation

CQU regional campuses will host a Heart Week presentation next Wednesday to promote the theme: Take Action: Healthy Weight, Healthy Life.

Cardiovascular disease is still Australia’s leading cause of death for both men and women and affects two out of three Australian families.

Under the theme Healthy Weight, Healthy Life, the Heart Foundation will use Heart Week 2006 to raise awareness of the link between cardiovascular disease and excess weight.

During Heart Week, CQU's Health and Safety Unit will support the awareness campaign by hosting an educational presentation on Wednesday May 3 from 1pm to 1.45pm.

The seminar will be hosted at the Rockhampton Campus in room 29/G.05 but will also be available via ISL to Gladstone 601/1.03A, Bundaberg 401/1.05 and Mackay 706/G.03.
