Both students and staff enjoyed the feast of traditional ‘Aussie Tucker': meat pies, damper, Vegemite sandwiches, lamingtons and ANZAC biscuits.  The Vegemite sandwich tasting proved to be a favourite!

The students were also visited by Rodney, who played the didgeridoo and also gave a brief history of the instrument and some historical facts about outback Australia.

The highlight of the celebration was the native Australian animals show by Gecko's Wildlife Rangers.  Students could touch and pat a couple of pythons, a baby crocodile, a glider, a turtle and a frog.  The main attraction was the pythons - students were especially excited to be able to hold them and have them wrapped around their bodies.

The event was a huge success and was entirely enjoyed by all.
