Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Students now have wider range of Uni support options all year round 

Students are encouraged to access Queensland best range of university support options, offered by CQUniversity.

The University offers more scholarships, awards and financial support packages, adding up to a higher dollar value, with greater availability throughout the year, in comparison with other institutions.

Among these support options are accommodation scholarships which cover the full board (room and meals) for students from low socio-economic backgrounds.

In all, there are many different categories of scholarships and awards, supporting high-achievers, Indigenous people, disadvantaged students, rural and regional residents, students from low socio-economic backgrounds and students interested in specialised programs.
